Reading questions like, "A/S/L?" or "What's your name?" isn't very new to most people, especially to those who have been exposed to the online networking bonanza. Now is probably a perfect time to ask: "Online Relationships: Yes or No?"
There's nothing wrong with being friendly and wanting to meet new people, but ALWAYS (and I repeat, always) exercise caution. While it's good to meet new people and gain new friends, we should always remember that the internet is a free-for-all domain and yes, it would include the bad and wicked people in society who'd be more than willing to take advantage of you. One of the major concerns would be your safety in the world wide web, because almost anyone is vulnerable to such heavy predicaments.
Think first before you give in to your friend (or lover) online. You probably wouldn't want everyone to see your personal information (like your address and telephone number), and risk having anonymous people invade your privacy -- right? Would you even want to risk the possibility that your online buddy might just post your little live show from your steamy webcam chat, on one of the porn sites one day? Would you want to fall in love with a seemingly unreal person, a minute element in cyberspace, not knowing if he or she truly loves you back?
The internet is deceiving, no matter how convenient and helpful it is to our lives. If a lot of information online are fabricated, how are we so sure that the information given to us by the web buddies are real? We can never be sure unless, probably, we're able to meet them personally and mutually have the initiative to get to know each other more. Whatever happens, always have a good set of real-life friends. Keep yourself intact to the real world.
Here's a good advice I found in YouTube :))
